菲立普．史戴（Philip C. Stead）
美國童書作家兼插畫家，畢業於美國密西根大學藝術設計學院，畢業後曾在紐約布魯克林兒童博物館工作。他第一本給兒童的圖畫書《吐司上的奶油鮪魚和豆子》，受到美國《柯克斯書評》、美國《學校圖書館期刊》等好評推薦。他和妻子艾琳．史戴合作的繪本有《獻給月亮先生的音樂》、《麥基先生請假的那一天》、《麥基先生錯過巴士的那一天》（皆為小魯文化出版）。
繪者簡介
艾琳．史戴（Erin E. Stead）
美國童書插畫家，畢業於美國馬里蘭藝術學院，後又到紐約視覺藝術學院深造，曾在哈潑柯林斯出版社童書部（HarperCollins Children's Books）擔任創意總監助理。擅長以木版拓印及鉛筆進行創作。她的繪畫作品《然後，春天就來了》曾獲得2012年美國波士頓環球報號角書獎。
他轉緊懷錶的發條，煮一壺開水，然後對著糖罐子說：
「一匙給我的麥片粥，兩匙給我的茶，謝啦。」
He would wind his watch and set a pot of water to boil—
saying to the sugar bowl, “A spoonful for my oatmeal, please,
and two for my teacup.”
他吃飽後，準備妥當，慢條斯理的步出家門去上班。
Belly full and ready for the workday, he’d amble out the door.
